Tales of Long Ago . . .¹

The sheer number of Voltron stories I've written dictates they have their own page. Well, that, and the boys like to think they're more special than the rest. *shrug*

Ahem. It seems the boys need a lesson. Maybe one of these days I'll take a page from Todesengel's book and make my list of stories into story of its own. But that day is far off, if it ever comes at all. For right now, I'll make due with a plain ol' list.

One last note: Feedback is a wondrous thing, craved by every author. Even something as simple as "I liked it" or "I hated it". Hint, hint.

Voltron-Not a Songfic Fics

I suppose this requires some explanation. I was driving home one afternoon, and a song came on the radio that captured my attention. This is an everyday occurance, and there's no reason this one song should be any different. Usuallly, though, when this happens, and I'm grabbed by a song like that, I turn it into a songfic, lyrics included. This one didn't happen that way. Yes, I was grabbed by the song, but mostly by the wistful tone of the words, the meaning behind the words. I guess I still can't explain it, even though it's happened four times. They're all related, and should be read in the order below. Not that that will help you any. *grin*

  "Harem" is one of my fics that appeared in the 2002 edition of "Bishounen X-ing", the fanzine to help support Yaoi-Con. I would just like to say that I think it's unlikely that it would have been completed had it not been for Spubba's encouragement, and, on top of bouncing ideas around with me (and giving me far too many to include in a fic of with a limit of about 20,000 words or so!), he also did the artwork that accompanied the story in the 'zine. I've finally remembered to put the pics up here, so please, give Spubba your comments.

• Rite of Spring
  AU to Harem. Romelle wants to have a baby, but she is certain that she and Lotor are not genetically compatible. Who, then, will she choose . . .? R. Yaoi. Het. Some non-con, and some very con.

  I suppose some explanation for this is necessary. While I was in the midst of working on Harem, Spubba posted this absolutely gorgeous pic of Hunk to vying, dressed in nothing but a belt with a bunch of dangling charms. When I told him it was drool-a-licious, he told me that it had been partially inspired by what I'd shown him of Harem. And then he gave me a bit of back story . . . and in about a weekend, I churned out this fic. So that's why it's an AU to Harem. *grin*

• Poison
  Another fic in honor of Spubba and forest's shared birthday! A side story to a much longer work, as yet unfinished. Sven has been very, very different since his return from Doom. About the only thing he thinks he can count on is Hunk's love for him. That . . . and one other thing. But then, Hunk isn't there any more . . . R. Yaoi. Angst. Warnings for serious substance abuse.

  Look, comic-fic! Takes place immediately following Voltron Vol. 2, Issue 3. Some yaoi. Some angst.
• Man of the House
  Inspired by the Keith Urban song of the same name, but not a songfic. Lyrics here. R. Yaoi. Angst. First person POV.
• A Day in Paradise
  Inspired by my friend Ginny's vacation in the Bahamas and Kenny Chesney's song "When the Sun Goes Down". Voltron pilots on the beach. *grin* PG. Yaoi. Light and fluffy.
• Who're You Calling Cute?
  A not-quite-typical Sunday morning. ^^ PG. Yaoi. More light and fluffy. (What's wrong with me?)
• Here for the Party
  Inspired by the song of the same name by Gretchen Wilson. After a fight with Keith, Lance takes off. Hunk is the one who finds him. PG to PG-13. Yaoi. Angst. (THAT's better!)
• First Rain
  Written on JoAnn's request for some "sane Sven" for forest. ^^ Sven muses about the importance of rain in his life. PG. Yaoi. Some small amount of angst, but not much. First person POV.
• Last Second Chance
  Sven is not dealing well with the injury that Hunk took some time ago, and it comes to a head. NC-17. Yaoi. Angst (lots of, that is). Stumpfic.
• No Temptation at All
  Temptation lives on the inside of a matchbook cover . . . or does it? PG. Yaoi. Angst and sap.
• Why Mixing Potions is Bad
  Gift-fic for the fantabulous Quill (may she forgive me for it)! Zarkon is pressuring his heir into getting an heir of his own, and Lotor is reluctant. And ill. And Cossack is... well, Cossack. *evil grin* PG-13 to R. Yaoi. Definite randi-humor.

  One night during chat, JoAnn prompted me to write something with Pidge contemplating his Lion. Then, when I was done, she wanted more, of course. It expanded into this. PG-ish. Gen. Vaguely angsty, vaguely humorous.
• Toy Soldiers (The All Fall Down Remix)
  So, on voltron_yaoi on LiveJournal, Todesengel proposed a Remix challenge. I was honored to attempt a remix on forest's lovely fic for the first vying lyric wheel, Toy Soldiers. **Note: You will not be able to get to the fic if you are NOT a member of vying on YahooGroups. PG-13ish. Yaoi. Angst, angst, angst.
• I Feel the Need...
  A birthday present for Quill, with all the weirdness that may entail. Mentions rather a lot of het for what is nominally a yaoi fic. Strong R. Light, fluffy and vaguely humorous.
• Promise of the Future
  Originally, this was part of a ficlet/one line challenge on LJ. Of course, the ficlet mushroomed on me. Jeff and Shannon meet when they begin their Academy schooling, and become friends... R. Yaoi. A bit of angst, a bit of light.
• No Escape
  Lotor has a captive and a game he very much enjoys. NC-17. Yaoi. DARK - graphic descriptions of torture, non-con and character death. Much, much darker than my usual fare - please heed the warnings.
• Chocky-phile
  Inspired, as so many things are, by chatting with Quill. Lance has a plan to feed all of his desires at once. He just doesn't know it. NC-17. Gen. Humor. (HUH?)
• No Such Thing As Puppy Love
  Inspired, as so many things are, by Quill-chat. Hunk doesn't know what happened while he was asleep, but he knows that the big black dog outside his door is Sven... Strong R. Yaoi. Crack-fic (with all that entails).
• The Antidote
  It isn't easy being the Vice-Admiral's son. Written for the 2010 lyric wheel at voltron_yaoi on LJ. Slash. PG-13 to R. Warnings for substance abuse and self-pleasure but in very small quantities.
